Rural Alternative for Transportation (RAFT)

  • Volunteers provide door-to-door transportation for seniors and disabled adults residing within the Berthoud Fire Protection District for the purpose of receiving access to medical care, nutritional services, social services, education, or employment. PARA transport is available.
  • Rides are given into Berthoud, Loveland, Longmont, and adjacent areas and are provided at no cost on weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (except on holidays) Donations are encouraged.
  • To qualify, any older adult (60+) or adults (18+) with disabilities which prevent them from driving can receive transportation by completing an application for ridership. Call 970-532-0808.
  • RAFT requires a 3-working day notice for rides to be scheduled.

  • Via’s paratransit program is an on-demand, call-up, door-to-door transportation service from any origin to any destination in our service area (Serves Estes Park). This is a shared ride service and schedules change daily based on where riders need to go.
  • Rides are subject to a small fee between $2 and $6
  • Before you can begin riding Via’s paratransit program, an intake/registration phone interview must be completed with one of Via’s Mobility Specialists. A family member or caregiver may complete the interview as well as request a ride.  Call (303) 447-2848 ext. 1014.
  • You can make a reservation either by phone or online.
    • Call Via’s Call Center at (303) 447-9636 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday to make a reservation. OR
